The Asthma Epidemic is preventable!
Someone is going to be asthma free, might as well be you! Some family is going to be asthma free might as well be yours! Following Biblical advice, can help you and yours avoid this devastating and costly disease.
Exodus 23:20-26 states, in a nutshell; If you listen carefully to all that I (God) say, and do it, I will remove all sickness from you, and I will give you a full life span. We believe that this sickness-free promise includes asthma.
How prevalent is asthma?
- According to the Centers for Disease Control, 1 in 13 people have asthma.
- Asthma is the leading chronic disease in children. It is also the top reason for missed school days.
- Asthma causes almost 2 million emergency room visits each year.
- Each day, ten Americans die from asthma.
What is asthma?
Asthma causes swelling of the airways. This results in narrowing of the airways that carry air from the nose and mouth to the lungs. Symptoms include trouble breathing, wheezing, coughing and tightness in the chest. In severe cases, asthma can be deadly.
What does Dr. Joel Wallach say about asthma?
“Asthma is actually a deficiency of three nutrients: magnesium, manganese, and the essential fatty acids (EFA). And by taking the Pig Arthritis formula twice a day you’re going to get the optimal amounts of te plant-derived colloidal and the chelated magnesium and manganese. And then by taking minimum daily requirements of the 9 grams of the essential fatty acids, that would be 3 of the Ultimate EFA capsules with each meal, 9 a day, that’s going to give you the minimum daily requirement of the essential fatty acids, and those three nutrients together – magnesium, manganese, essential fatty acids, will allow you to produce what’s called prostaglandin.

Even though you’re on a smooth flight and you’re not going to anticipate sudden turbulence, you need to be prepared for emergencies, but you have every honest expectation of doing very well.”
According to Dr. Wallach, these are the foods to avoid that can lead to asthma and foods to eat that will reduce your risk of an asthma attack.

Nitrates or Nitrites
Crispy skin or baked potatoes
Carbonated drinks/Soda
Foods to eat.
Eggs
Butter
Salt
Dark leafy vegetables
Nuts, except peanuts
Rice and Beans
Red meat
Poultry
Fish
God’s word!
Once again, the foods God said to eat will help you avoid asthma and other diseases. The foods that God said not to eat will increase your risk of disease. (see our article “Where to begin”)
None of our children or grandchildren have asthma. Our daughter Leah, the one pictured above, did started developing asthma symptoms while going to college. She had an athletic scholarship at Oregon State University. Her sport was crew, which required a lot of heavy breathing and many, many hours of practice. Getting good grades and competing at the Pac-12 level created a lot of stress. My wife Shary, got her to increase her Essential Fatty Acid consumption, so by changing her diet she was able compete without any more symptoms. She is now a health teacher and mother of two beautiful children; she and her family are asthma free.
